Thunderbird Moderator Ramona informed us Thunderbird has released.

Few days after the release of Firefox and Firefox, Mozilla Corporation also released Thunderbird This release provides stability and security enhancements that are part of ongoing program to provide a safer email experience for our users. Mozilla Corporation recommends that all Thunderbird users upgrade to this latest version.

Here's what's new in Thunderbird

* Improvements to product stability.
* Several security fixes

Thunderbird can be downloaded from Mozilla's server.

Some minor issues for users of Thunderbird on Mac OS X on an Intel-based Mac.

  • If you are running Thunderbird 1.5 or Thunderbird on Macintosh computers with Intel Core processors under Rosetta, you will get upgraded to a PowerPC-only, Thunderbird product via the automated update system. You will need to download the Thunderbird Universal Binary build from to take advantage of the native support for Intel-based Macintosh computers.
  • There is no Talkback on Intel-based Macs when running natively or under Rosetta. The Apple Crash report program should launch in the event of application crashes.
