Safari 3 Public Beta, now for Mac and PC

Safari 3During WWDC 2007, Apple has released the first Public Beta of Safari 3 with a surprise move, it's now for Windows platform. Safari joins iTunes in delivering Apple’s legendary user experience to both Windows and Mac users as well as full support of open Internet standards.

Safari 3, which presumably will be released along with Mac OS X 10.5 in October, will offer faster HTML rendering than Internet Explorer and Firefox, according to Mr. Jobs. According to Safari 3 web page, Safari 3 Public Beta is twice as fast as Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2.

Apple provides 12 reasons that people should use Safari: Blazing performance, Elegant user interface, Easy bookmarks, Pop-up blocking, Inline Find, tabbed browsing, SnapBack, Forms AutoFill, Built-in RSS, Resizable Text Fields, Private Browsing, Security.

Safari 3 Public Beta can be downloaded from . The system requirement: Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later, or Windows XP or Vista with 256MB RAM or more on a 500 MHz or faster CPU. Please be advised that Safari 3 is currently available in Public Beta.
