Opera 9.0 released

OperaSillyDog701 Moderator Greg Mitchell informed us Opera Software has released the shipping version of next generation Opera 9.0 browser - Opera 9.0 for Mac OS X, Linux, Windows.

Opera Software announced the availability of the Opera 9 Web browser on 20th June 2006. The new version supports BitTorrent file distribution, content blocking, thumbnail previews of site tabs, and Widgets. Widgets are small Web programs that run in their own Opera windows. Opera 9 is free and available for download at the Opera Software web site.

Opera 9.0 Beta 2 was released less than one month ago. Opera 9.0b1 (first Beta) was released on 21 April, 2006. Previous stable version 8.54 was released on 5th April.
