Netscape 9's sidebar gets more control

by Antony

Netscape 9 sidebarAccording to The Netscape Blog, Netscape's upcoming Netscape 9 will have some enhancements to the sidebar. Netscape 9's sidebar will give you browsing ability. There will be a navigation menu, address bar, and link target toggle.

The default link target is to have all links clicked in the sidebar launch in the main browser window, which is best suited for a single webpage that has lots of outgoing links.

The (official) Netscape Blog first mentioned the upcoming Netscape 9 on 24th January, (and we have a report here). Over these weeks, we've seen a number of new of features that would be added to Netscape 9. Netscape.com has not announced any releasing date for Netscape 9 browser, but, they released a full Netscape 9 browser screenshot (see below) for the first time. Does that mean anything? The full Netscape 9 browser screenshot might not mean much, but we guess it indicate one thing... Netscape 9 is getting ready.

SillyDog701 has a Netscape 9 section in Netscape Browser Archive.
