Netscape 8.1 released

When I try to run the spyware, I get a message saying "you don't have the required permissions to perform this action. I have reloaded the program twice, but no difference. What gives?

Same thing is happening to me. I've reloaded the program twice and I keep getting the same message --
"You don't have the required permissions to perform this action". How can this be fixed?????

where can i find the best email from which netscape ..I had netscape 4.8 and loved the email. I was going to up grade . which one has as good or better email program

Has anyone found a solution to the "You don't have the required permissions to perform this action." dilema yet?

I checked and I am even set to 'admin'. If anyone figures it out, I'd love to hear it.

I didn't find spywatch installer in the install log, so I (re)ran:

C:\>"C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape Browser\Spywatch\spywatchinstaller.exe" -i

now working

Interesting...when i uninstalled this, spywatchinstaller.exe crashed, giving the following errror:

AppName: spywatchinstaller.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00010f29

and when I googled spywatchinstaller.exe this was the first result....

how do i turn off the security center dialog box, it is changing on the bottom of my screen annoying.

I had trouble with permissions also, I stopped downloading from netscape and downloaded it from here. No problems. I got a warning saying the file from netscape was corrupted. Runing spyware detector as I type.

Is there a french version of netscape 8.1 ???

Help! I downloaded 8.1, the program said it was installed and then it started installing that weather bug thingy that I did NOT want. It seemed to install forever, so I did a ctl-alt-del to get out of it. Now my computer claims netscape is running, but I can't see it. I can't turn my computer off either.

Can someone advise me on what I should do?

Incidentally, I removed Netscape and then tried to
reinstall 8.0. It tells me that netscape is running and I should click on yes to close it and continue
the installation. However, I can click on yes until I am blue in the face and it doesn't close it. I finally got the computer to shut down, but it did not really shut down and immediately came back up to the desk top.

Well, I went back to an earlier time; I now have Net-
scape 8.1, but it doesn't seem to be complete and it
won't work properly with SBC Yahoo like it did before.
However, I at least have access with my Yahoo, and I can legitimately turn my computer off. I wish I had never tried to do the download, though (sigh), as I really can't use Netscape as well.

have down loaded twice each time hacker has un loaded your program for defences. and virus protection. need to reprogram to run run virus check again.

Freaky, when I uninstalled this the same thing happened. Like a guy before me, I Googled it and this page was the first result.

The guy before me posted on April 5, 2006, over two years ago... And we have the same name!
