HP to distribute Netscape Browser 8 with new PCs
According to C|net News.com and Netscape's Press Release, HP will distribute Netscape 8 browsers on consumer PCs and notebooks from early next year.
This agreement is the first browser distribution deal with a major PC maker since the end of the browser wars in the 1990s, according to Netscape. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Netscape released Netscape 8 in May, MozInfo701 was the first to break the news of Netscape 8 (Prototype) in November 2004.

The main focus of Netscape Browser 8 is the security control in site based levels. Netscape 8 also allows users to switch between Mozilla Firefox (Gecko) or Microsoft Internet Explorer (Trident) engines.
