SillyDog701 member Fulvio informed us Mozilla Corporation released Firefox 1.5.0.6, a maintenance release fixes Windows Media Player Regression. Firefox 1.5.0.6 is a stand-alone internet browser, a flagship product of Mozilla Foundation.

Fixed an issue with playing Windows Media content

According to MozillaZine,

Firefox 1.5.0.5 included a fix for bug 181860, which unintentionally blocked the Microsoft Media Services (MMS) protocol used by some Windows Media content. This regression was reported as bug 346167 after the release of 1.5.0.5 and led to today's rapid release of 1.5.0.6. We understand that there are no other major changes in Firefox 1.5.0.6 and no new security bugs have been fixed.

SillyDog701 noted Mac users of Firefox 1.5.0.5 can still play Windows Media content as usual.
