Mozilla Client Customization Kit Project to be Revived

by Andrew T.

Greg Mitchell has informed us that a project to develop a Client Customization Kit (CCK) for Mozilla projects has been revived. Such a CCK would offer entities the capability of distributing versions of Mozilla software that have been customized in various ways. The project is still in its planning stages, and will initially concentrate on providing the ability to customize distributions of Mozilla Firefox, although the Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail and newsgroup client as well as the Mozilla suite (now to be developed as "Seamonkey" by the community) will likely be supported as well.

A Client Customization Kit was available for Netscape for several years and is of interest to entities such as ISPs.
