28 October, 2004Mozilla Firefox 1.0 Release Candidate 1 Releasedby Andrew T.
The first release candidates for Mozilla Firefox 1.0 are now available. Some of the changes coming with this version include a refined Find bar, improvements in tabbed browsing (with the ability to have sites that call upon new windows open tabs instead as well as fixes to tab-focus security vulnerabilities), and performance improvements. Development, particularly from now until version 1.0, concentrates on bug-fixing rather than major feature additions. This software version foreshadows the final release of Mozilla Firefox 1.0, currently scheduled for a November release date. > Join our discussion, "Mozilla Firefox 1.0 Release Candidate 1 available," in SillyDog701 Message Centre.
